Underperforming Solar Roof

This photo shows the construction of the south-facing solar roof.

The ceiling height on the first floor is ten feet, and the second floor is nine feet. So the peak of the roof is almost 35 feet from the ground.

A black steel roof was installed temporarily to shed water, and then one section at a time was removed as each bay was built.

Ladders with padded cross bars were used for access when nailing down the battens.

Here's the completed solar roof. They finally had a well drilled; the wellhead is visible at the lower right.
